The Course  ·  Welcome

Here's what to know before you start Orientation

1

This course teaches you to get better results from AI Goal: better results per conversation

Not by writing more — by writing better. The skill is clear communication: the right context, a specific ask and knowing what a good answer looks like before you ask. That's it. Clarity + context control + result recognition. Communication fundamentals applied to AI.

2

There are two ways to write — you'll practise both Human / Machine toggle

The Human / Machine toggle in the nav rewrites this course in each of the two modes, so you can feel the difference rather than read about it. Human mode is how you'd explain this to a person: warm, contextual, roundabout. Machine mode is how you'd hand it to a machine: compact, structured, precise. Neither is the "real" version. The skill is noticing which one a sentence is written in. Toggle in nav. Rewrites course prose in each mode — a live demonstration. Human mode: context + reasoning + warmth (for people). Machine mode: role · task · format · constraints (for machines). Skill: notice which you're in.

3

Do the exercises in order — each one builds on the last Sequential — then cyclical

It feels linear the first time. Once you've done it, you'll see it's a loop — every real project follows the same cycle, just faster each time. Linear first pass. Cyclical in practice — each project repeats the loop at speed.

Think Collab Dispatch Iterate
then start again — with better instincts repeat · faster each time

Don't know a word? The Glossary has you covered Terminology

We use a few specific terms — things like context window and re-seeding. They sound technical but they map to things you already do. Hit in the nav any time. Precise terms used throughout. All map to standard communication concepts.

The Course  ·  Step 0 of 7

First, pick your platform. Select platform.

Each AI platform has different quirks, different settings and a different feel. Pick the one you want to learn on, we'll walk you through getting set up before the first exercise starts. Determines setup steps and exercise prompts. Choose one to continue.

Three things to check before your first exercise. Takes about two minutes — do it once and you won't need to think about it again. Pre-exercise checklist. ~2 min.

Exercise 1 — Persistent Instructions

Set your context once so you never repeat yourself.

The Course  ·  7 Exercises

Your exercises. Exercise list.

Seven short exercises, 2–5 minutes each. Work through them in order — each one builds the next. The goal is knowing which mode you're in: human warmth for people, machine precision for machines. 7 exercises · 2–5 min · complete in order. Goal: know which mode you're in, per audience.

Exercises 3–7 are parked, not imminent. The concepts they cover are taught in full in the main course — seeds, re-seeding and the reference card live in the Enabled User track, and the core framework is in the guide. In the meantime the full prompt walkthrough covers all seven concepts in one guided session on your chosen platform — about 15 minutes. Ex 3–7: parked.
